Dear God
A mother and her partner accused of murdering her seven-year-old daughter by starving her to death have admitted her manslaughter.

[Khyra Ishaq] was so emaciated at the time of her death, on 17 May, that her condition was outside the experience of medical professionals, prosecutor Timothy Raggatt QC has told the jury.

It's this kind of shit that makes me conflicted about the death penalty. The man had mental health problems, apparently, but the "mother" has no such excuse. What the fuck good is it keeping that animal alive?
